The recent Airbus Helicopters Inc. HCare support contract with Air Methods Corp. extends the number of helicopters covered to 111, making it the largest Airbus-covered single-operator civil helicopter fleet.

Air medical service provider Air Methods, the largest global civil operator of Airbus helicopters, delivers lifesaving care to more than 70,000 people annually.

Airbus Helicopters supports a fleet of more than 3,100 helicopters with a U.S. presence dating back more than 50 years. The HCare maintenance support and service package allows customers to plan and budget their supply of spare parts, tools, consumables, flight operations, and training.

Vertex Aerospace awarded two Air Force maintenance contracts

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Vertex Aerospace LLC $38 million for contractor logistic support (CLS) of the U.S. Air Force’s C-12 fleet, modifying a previously awarded contract worth a cumulative $158 million. CLS support will be performed at seven domestic locations and 16 international sites.

Additionally, Vertex Aerospace received $65 million from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center to perform Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) for the Air Education and Training Command’s fleet of T-1A Jayhawk trainer aircraft. This is a modification to a previously awarded contract.

Vertex will provide logistics support to more than 170 T-1As at five domestic U.S. Air Force bases. Vertex has supported the Jayhawk trainer fleet since the Air Force procured the aircraft in 1992.
