The RMC200 closed-loop, electro-hydraulic motion controller serves applications requiring flexibility and precise control up to 32 motion axes, removing the 8-axis limit, and offering processing power for future capabilities.
RMC200 controllers use Delta’s RMCTools software for setup, tuning, programming, and diagnostics. The software shortens application development and deployment times with a graphical programming interface, a motion plotting tool, and a tuning wizard that automates the process of setting control loop gains.
A single RMC200 can manage the motion of a metals-processing production line or a complex testing application involving a large number of sensor inputs. The RMC200 can synchronize the motion of multiple axes, enabling the construction of machines with scalable performance and quick production changeovers. The unit also provides built-in support for controlling pressure/force as well as position/velocity/acceleration and can transition smoothly between these control modes.
A programmable Feature Key enables only the number of control loops that a customer’s application needs, saving cost.
Other physical enhancements include a display screen on the CPU, I/O modules with push-in wire connectors, and fully-encased, user-installable modules that rock-in to provide power-sequencing capability. Modular expandability supports expanded control and I/O interfacing compatibility as new modules are developed.

Robots for restricted space
Two new robots – Racer5-0.63 and Racer5-0.80 – are for quick applications in restricted spaces, including handling, assembly, and pick & place. Both are controlled by the R1C 19" rack-mounted controller, which can be integrated into a single cabinet to control an entire line. The robots are also available in the openRobotics version where the robot is directly integrated into the existing machine/line automation controlled by B&R technologies.
Both robots are built on the Racer3 technological platform. Racer5-0.63 features a reach of 630mm and payload of 5kg. Racer5-0.80 is also rated for a payload of 5kg, but has an extended reach of 809mm. All other features of Racer3 remain the same.
Coaxial packaged bi-directional amplifiers
A line of coaxial packaged bi-directional amplifiers support signal type and modulation formats such as 3G and 4G telecom, WLAN, OFDM, DVB, and CW/AM/FM. They offer high power density, efficiency, and linearity in small, lightweight, environmentally sealed packages with SMA connectors. The line consists of two narrow-band models that operate in L-band from 1.35GHz to 1.39GHz and S-band from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz. A broadband model covers 30MHz to 3GHz. These designs produce high-quality transmit signals across 802.11 wireless networks while amplifying received signals with a noise figure of 2.5dB to produce high data rates. Typical transmit gain levels for the amplifiers range from 20dB to 23dB with ±0.5dB gain flatness. Fast switching capability between transmit and receive states is typically 1µs.
